the Yom Kippur fast begins on the evening of October 4. The entire Jewish community fasts until nightfall on October 5. Jews expect God's forgiveness collectively. Some who take this summons seriously tremble. We come together to examine our lives, unite with the Jewish community and pray for the certainty of their forgiveness through the Massiah. It is an auspicious time for revelation.
